THE PROJECT:
This Project assists the Animal Rehabilitation Centre between Port Elizabeth and Jeffreys Bay with the daily care and funding to feed and care for stranded and injured animals. This project has a true need for volunteers to support with time and funding. They have introduced a breeding program for endangered species like, Cheetah, Blue Duiker, Servels and many other species to follow with the support from volunteers and sponsors.

ANIMALS:
The Centre boasts in excess of forty species of wildlife. Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Blesbok, Duiker, Bushbuck, Monkeys, etc. and a huge selection of bird species. Some animals that cant be free roaming are kept in enclosures, most of the larger animals roam freely on the reserve.

ACCOMMODATION:
The lodges are located in the middle of the game area, surrounded by a variety of animals. When you wake in the morning you are able to see giraffe, tortoises, antelope, wildebeests, zebras, aardvark, springbok, cheetah, birds and of course a beautiful sunrise over the reserve. Could you morning start any better? Wait till you have breakfast in the fresh clear morning air. The lodge is completely made out of wood, which gives you the ‘back to nature’ feeling.

Sharing Double:
In this option you book a bed in a large en-suite room. You might share a room with someone from a completely different culture which adds to the whole learning experience.

Dormitory: This consists of 8 bed dorm.

RELAXING:
The bar ‘The Waterhole’ where everyone comes together and you will be able to enjoy drinks, have dinner and do a little dancing if you like. Here you can taste Potjie, a typical South African dish made with many different ingredients in cast iron pots on the fire. The project offers internet access and public phone, there is a TV lounge with satellite TV.
