Wildlife Rehabilitation Project

This Project is run on African Dawn assisting the Animal Rehabilitation Centre between Port Elizabeth and Jeffreys Bay with the daily care and funding to feed and care for stranded and injured animals. This project was identified as having a true need for volunteers to support with time and funding. We have introduced a breeding program for endangered species like, Cheetah, Blue Duiker, Servels and many other species to follow with the support from volunteers and sponsors.

  • Hand rearing of orphaned wildlife, including monkeys, lynx and serval kittens and just about anything else that needs it!

  • Daily tidying and cleaning of enclosures.

  • Helping to build new spacious natural enclosures and maintaining the present ones.

  • Cuddling and just sitting with young animals help them grow strong. Interacting with the public extends to assisting our staff in training and conservation awareness.
